Wedding atThe Square Tower Portsmouth

It was a very windy and blustery day on the 15th of August for Lauren and Shane's big day!

When I first arrived, I was greeted by the lovely and welcoming staff from the Square Tower. There was no sign of the groom or the guests, so I set off to get some detail shots. However, time was starting to get on a bit, and after the arrival of the registrars, it was agreed that now might be a good time to get the groom.

After a few minutes, Will from the Square Tower team reappeared with Shane. He had been hiding out in the local pub and had completely forgotten that he had to meet the registrars beforehand! Oops

Not too long after the guests started to arrive, having enjoyed a few pre-celebratory drinks in the local pub!

Here's Shane again... Where has he been now? To get the rings he left in the car, of course! I can see this wedding is going to be fun with lots of laughter. Luckily, he remembered before the arrival of Lauren!

Here's the first look of our beautiful bride alongside her very proud dad!

The ceremony went without a single hiccup, and there were definitely some very sweet moments from Ethan and the bridesmaids. There may have been some happy tears shed and lots and lots of silly faces pulled! But I think it's very clear to see this is a very happy, solid family unit.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Dove! Now I know that having pictures with their son Ethan was very important to Lauren and Shane, so we decided to just dive straight into a little mini shoot as a family. We headed out to the not-so-hot Hot Walls in Old Portsmouth! It was surprisingly very quiet for an August afternoon...

Ethan was a superstar! I loved his cheeky little personality. Mum and Dad were quite fun too ;-) I didn't want to keep Lauren and Shane from their guests for too long as I knew they were keen to go and celebrate!

The party was in full swing! Did someone say tequila? The views were amazing even on an overcast day, and you could easily spot the Spinnaker Tower and Portsmouth Cathedral in the background. Unfortunately, due to the winds, I was unable to throw the drone up to get a group shot. But the winds definitely made for some fun hair pictures! ;-)

After a while, we noticed people had disappeared back down to the bar! So family formals were done in the ceremony room, and we also managed to get a group shot of everyone from the balcony. Hurrah! All in all, I had an amazing time capturing Lauren and Shane's nuptials and really felt like part of the party! Thank you all for being so welcoming and friendly!
