Award-Winning Moments Captured
Right, brace yourself for a tiny humble brag. I’ve been lucky enough to pick up international awards from Wedisson, Boundless, Global Photo Guild, Flashmasters and WedWar, which still makes me do a slightly embarrassing happy dance every single time. Most of these are real moments from real couples’ days that I happened to catch at exactly the right second. The trophies are lovely (I won’t pretend I don’t grin at them), but honestly they belong to my couples as much as me. I’m forever tinkering, experimenting and throwing myself into learning new tricks behind the scenes, because you lot deserve nothing less than my absolute best.
A little bit of honesty!
Some of my award winning images come from styled shoots rather than real weddings, and I always want to be upfront about that. Every single one is my own idea, set up by me and created by me, from the first scribble of a concept right down to the lighting. They are my artwork!
So why do I do them? Because I am passionately creative and I just LOVE to create in my spare time. Give me a wild idea and a flashgun and I am one very happy photographer. Everything I learn playing about with light comes straight back to your wedding day too.
