Hello, I’m Emma, a fun and candid wedding photographer based in Portsmouth, and I am a little bit in love with Kimbridge Barn! Tucked away in the Test Valley near Romsey, it’s a beautiful barn right by the River Test, and it gives you everything from soft, pretty daytime photos to a proper party in the evening. About Kimbridge Barn

Kimbridge Barn sits in the Test Valley just outside Romsey, an easy hop from Winchester and the M27, which makes it super handy for guests coming from across Hampshire and beyond. Inside, the barn is all exposed beams and glowing festoon lights. Outside, the barn opens onto its own courtyard with a bar, low seating and two fire pits, perfect for drinks and a natter, and the River Test is right next door.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings Here

That big old tree. With a bit of flash, it’s my favourite spot for couples portraits here.
The barn itself. Beams, festoon lights and loads of space, so the speeches and the dancefloor look amazing.
The courtyard. Fire pits, a bar and your favourite people all in one place, brilliant for relaxed, candid photos.
It works in every season. Bright and summery or rich autumn colours, it looks gorgeous either way.

No Sunset? We Can Make One!

Jon and Zoe’s autumn wedding didn’t give us a big glowing sunset, so I made one. That glowing light under the tree, and the shot of them in front of the barn at the top of this page? All off camera flash. You’d never know! I bring my lights to every single wedding, which is a big part of why I’m ranked top ten in the world for flash wedding photography on the Flash Masters leaderboard. Dark barn, grey skies, evening party… none of it scares me.

Speeches, Giggles and Your Favourite People

The barn is brilliant for speeches. Everyone’s together, the light is lovely and the laughter just bounces round the room.

Kimbridge in Summer

A Real Wedding at Kimbridge Barn

Have a nosy at Jon and Zoe’s wedding. They said their vows at Winchester Registry Office and then headed out to Kimbridge for an autumn party with flash-lit “golden hour” portraits and a dancefloor that went absolutely bonkers.
