I’m Emma, a fun and candid wedding photographer based in Portsmouth, and I love nothing more than heading into Berkshire for a wedding. From beautiful barns in the countryside near Newbury to grand and spectacular military celebrations, it’s a county packed with gorgeous venues and brilliant couples, and I’d be thrilled to tell your story here.

Berkshire is one of those counties that has a little bit of everything. You’ve got rolling countryside and the Berkshire Downs, the riverside charm of the Thames Valley, the timeless elegance of Windsor and Ascot, the buzz of Reading and Newbury, and some truly grand, unique settings if you’re after real wow factor. Whether you’re dreaming of a relaxed rustic barn celebration or something properly spectacular and steeped in tradition, Berkshire delivers.

My Style — Fun, Candid & Full of Life

My style is natural, unposed and full of life, with a creative eye for the bold and dramatic too. I’m there for all of it: the morning nerves and laughter, the emotional ceremony, the speeches that make everyone cry-laugh, and the dance floor once the party really gets going. I blend into the day so you can soak up every second with the people you love, and by the end of the night I usually feel like an old family friend. That’s exactly the point, because when you forget the camera’s there, that’s when the honest, unguarded photos happen.

I’m also multi-award-winning and internationally recognised for my flash and lighting work, so from a blazing summer afternoon to a dark dance floor, your photos are always in very safe hands.

Newbury The Post Barn at Snelsmore House, Newbury — a rustic, warm and characterful barn venue just outside Newbury, with garden games, fire pits and a balcony made for magic. In fact, one wedding here won me three awards across two international photography bodies, including a dreamy shutter-drag fairy-light portrait on that very balcony.

Sandhurst & Military Weddings The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst — one of the most spectacular and unique wedding venues in the country, straddling the Berkshire and Surrey border, complete with sword arches and serious grandeur.

A Little Note on Military Weddings

Berkshire is home to some incredible military venues, and photographing a wedding at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst was an absolute honour. If you’re planning a military wedding, with all its tradition, ceremony and emotion, I’d love to capture it for you. Sword arches, port toasts and all!
