Micro Wedding Photography in Hampshire: Small Days, MASSIVE Personality

Who says you need a hundred and fifty guests and a twelve hour day to have an absolute belter of a wedding? Not me! Some of my favourite weddings EVER have been micro weddings. Small guest list, short and sweet coverage, and somehow they always pack in more laughs per minute than anything else I shoot.

My Micro package is all about the key moments. I’m there for your ceremony, we knock out a few family group photos (quick and pain free, I promise!) and then I whisk you off for some relaxed couple portraits. You get 100+ fully edited images, and your guests can download them too. So grab a brew and have a nosey at some of my micro couples. Small days, MASSIVE personality!

Dragana & Tim, St Mary’s Church, Portchester

Dragana is loud and bubbly, Tim is much quieter and more reserved, and together they were an absolute joy. The sky was properly blustery the whole time, but inside that ancient church at Portchester Castle it felt cosy and perfect.

Now, I had a VERY clear plan for the confetti. Cheer line first, confetti second. I explained this very carefully to everyone… and about 90 percent of them threw their confetti on the first go anyway! Brilliant chaos, and the best giggles of the day.

Portraits by the castle walls with those moody skies doing their thing overhead. Just look at them!

And then they absolutely nailed a champagne spray and drove off in a blue Mustang with the roof down. What an exit!

Daisy & Will, Winchester Registry Office

Daisy and Will are just the happiest couple ever. The moment Daisy walked into the Castle Ceremony Room they both dissolved into the most excited, nervous giggles.

My favourite moment of the whole day? Telling Will to sniff Daisy’s ear. The pair of them completely lost it! Daft instructions get real laughs EVERY time.

Then I jumped in the bridal car with them and we rattled down the cobbled Winchester streets for portraits. And Will’s jump for joy? Need I say more!

Sally & Dave, St Thomas à Becket Church, Warblington

Two hours, one very special church doorway, and a whole lot of heart. Both Sally’s mum and dad AND Dave’s mum and dad had their wedding photos taken in this exact doorway years ago, so Sally’s one big wish was to recreate them. Chills. Every single time.

The sun was absolutely beaming, which is lovely for a tan and a nightmare for squinty eyes, so out came my flashes. No scrunched up faces, no harsh shadows, just a lot of happy people.

Charlotte & Tom, a Halloween Micro Wedding in Southampton

Charlotte and Tom threw a Halloween themed micro wedding, which is a sentence that makes me very happy! Spooky season came early and I was NOT complaining.

Poor Tom had a horrible cold on his wedding day. Did that stop me winding him up all afternoon? It did not! He took it like a champ.

They wanted their pumpkin arch portraits outside, the light was rubbish and the rain was hanging over us. So we worked FAST. Lights up, arch out, shoot it, back inside before the heavens opened. About ten minutes flat, and some of my favourite shots of the day. No light? No problem!

Ian & Nicola, Portsmouth Registry Office

Ian and Nicola threw tradition out of the window and walked each other down the aisle. How sweet is that?

Is a Micro Wedding Right for You?

If you want the big stuff covered without the full day, it might just be perfect. My Micro package is great for:

  • Couples who want a small, relaxed ceremony with their favourite people
  • Weekday weddings around Portsmouth, Winchester and Chichester
  • Your ceremony, a few family group photos and some lovely couple portraits
  • 100+ fully edited images, high res and web sized, for you AND your guests

Camera shy? Good, most of my couples are too! The majority of my couples hate having their picture taken, so I make it as pain free as I possibly can. Lots of banter, a few daft challenges, and before you know it you’ve forgotten I’m even there.

Want a bit more time? Have a look at my Essentials weddings for up to five hours of fun.

Fancy a Small but Mighty Wedding?

Have a nosey at my packages, then give me a shout. I’d love to hear all about it!
