Essentials Wedding Photography: Five Hours, All the Good Bits

Not everyone wants me there from the hair and make-up chaos right through to the last tune on the dancefloor, and that’s totally fine! My Essentials package gives you up to five hours of me, and YOU choose the bits that matter most. Ceremony, family photos, portraits, speeches, a cheeky bit of the party… mix and match however you like.

You get 300+ fully edited images, and your guests can download them too. These three couples all booked Essentials, and you’d never know it wasn’t a full day. Just look!

Sam & Warren, Portsmouth Registry Office and The Churchillian

Sam and Warren didn’t want any fuss, just a celebration of the two of them with their closest people around them. Sam arrived on her dad’s arm absolutely beaming. She has one of those smiles that lights up an entire room!

With another wedding waiting outside, I whisked everyone round the corner into the gardens for confetti, hugs and family photos.

Then I nipped up to a first floor office window to grab the big group shot from above. They LOVED it!

Next we shot off up Portsdown Hill to The Churchillian, where I got everyone out on the balcony and photographed them from below. Those views!

Speeches full of banter, and then a little golden hour portrait session before I headed off. Perfect.

Stacey & Scott, Newtown House Hotel, Hayling Island

We crammed SO much into Stacey and Scott’s day it felt like a full day. It started with the groomsmen in absolute bits before the ceremony…

Now this was one of my favourite touches EVER. The rings were hidden under a random guest’s chair before the ceremony, and the guest who got to deliver them? Scott’s grandad! Grandparents, I love you.

We were so lucky with that September golden light for portraits in the gardens. Stacey and Scott weren’t looking forward to their portraits AT ALL. Can you tell?

And the speeches… this lot were just as entertaining as the couple. Before I left I caught the surprise singing waiters who had been winding everyone up all day. I was gutted to go, the party was only just getting started!

Sadie & Antonio, John Pounds Church, Old Portsmouth

John Pounds Church is such a little gem, and the officiant was brilliantly relaxed and funny. Right at the start Antonio got something slightly wrong and the two of them just dissolved into laughter. You can’t plan that stuff!

Sadie wanted to explore Old Portsmouth for portraits, and it’s one of my favourite places in the city to shoot, so I was ALL in. The Hot Walls, the Point Battery archway, the sea wall… every corner gives you something.
