A Fun-Filled Autumn Wedding at Skylark Golf and Country Club, Hampshire
Laura and Andy were married on the 25th of October at the gorgeous Skylark Golf and Country Club in Hampshire and honestly, what an absolute blast of a day.
They originally told me they didn’t want couples portraits because they feel awkward in front of the camera. But they booked me after seeing how candid and relaxed my style is, and thank goodness they did, because they ended up being complete naturals.
Bridal Prep at the Premier Inn
The morning started with glorious chaos at a nearby Premier Inn, full of laughter and people popping in and out. The groom was only a few doors away! The energy was brilliant from the very first moment I arrived.
The Ceremony at Skylark Golf and Country Club
After a rainy arrival at Skylark, we jumped straight into a beautiful ceremony. With no confetti planned, I got everyone to form a cheer line so Laura and Andy still had that magical just married moment as they walked out. It always works and this one was no exception.
Couples Portraits — From Freezing Cold to Golden Hour Magic
It was a chilly October day and the bride was absolutely freezing, so her mum kindly handed over her coat so we could dash out for a few quick couples portraits between showers. But the real magic came later when a surprise golden hour appeared and I whisked them back outside for the most fun, silly, joy filled portraits of the day. The groom even hid in a bush for one. I mean, of course he did 😂
The Reception at Skylark
The rest of the day was packed with emotion and entertainment in equal measure. Heartfelt speeches that had the room in tears, kids throwing paper aeroplanes, face painting, a live band bringing the energy, and some very questionable drinking games I am still not entirely sure I understand.
From the morning madness right through to the evening party, this wedding was non stop fun and exactly the kind of day I absolutely love to capture.
